Greetings all,
I have read through the threads for flat rate shipping and I have not been able to find a thread related to my particular question.
I am trying to set my shipping method for $15.00. No matter how many products in the package, or to which country my packages are going to.
I am stumped. I cant believe this can be this hard. Am I over looking something too simple? However, I can not find something simple like a button saying set flat rate shipping, and enter a dollar amount.
Any one else already figure this one out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Shipping/Taxes
Select the shipping method
Click the Shipping charges tab of the method
Set your $15.00 (Aboslute) for Products cost greater than $0.00

I have the same problem… my client has a flat $5.95 shipping rate and they use either UPS OR USPS. I created a new shipping type and called it “Flat rate” and edited shipping for absolute over $0.00. Does not show up on test orders. This is a big sell point to be able to buy multiple products for one shipping rate. Please let me know if someone has figured out the fix or what I am missing.
Simple.
Put your amount into the “products price” area on the Shipping charges tab and leave the price as 0. Do this for each location and you’re all set.
This will apply the charge to any cart that has an items value greater than 0.
Thanks for the help!!!
Finally figured out the flat rate after reading answer. Thanks from me too!
i’m having an issue with flat rate shipping. I would like my vendors to be able to use whatever method they want, for a flat rate.
I have setup a new shipping method with the name Flat Rate. I have selected a vendor, set the delivery time, weight is on 0, Rate Calculation is Manual, status active.
I go to shipping charges, under cost dependencies I have placed the number 5 in the RATE VALUE box and type is absolute (this is for More then $0). However the box is grayed out and I am unable to select it or delete it. I have added a new cost dependencies and the box is no longer greyed out and I can place a checkmark in it.
However, when I go to the Vendor tab, select the vendor, and go to shipping method – nothing is listed. It says “no items defined”
and when I try to check out I get:
Warning
Sorry, it seems that we have no shipping options available for your location.
Please check your shipping address and contact us if everything is okay. We’ll see what we can do about it.
What am I doing wrong here? This seems overly complicated for something so simple.
also, i’d like to be able to use 1 Flat Rate shipping method for ALL vendors. Currently it looks like I can only select 1 vendor per shipping method, whats up with that?
Also, the shipping cost is stuck on $9, no matter what I change the price in the cost dependencies.
Any help would be greatly appreciated so I don’t have to setup a support ticket
You’ll need to setup that location under the Shipping/Taxes under the “Locations”. So let’s say you have USA and Canada. You’d need to create those two locations and add all the states and areas to encompass those two areas.
Once those locations are setup, go to Shipping Methods. You’d then create a custom shipping method (call it whatever, like “flat rate”), then under the Shipping Charges tab, you’ll need to create an entry for each area.
So, you’ll see your locations you just setup along the row from left to right. You’d click on USA and under “Cost Dependencies” you’d click “add” and then input anything over $.01, charge $5 for.
Repeat that step for EVERY location along the top. Then click save and close and it should apply that flat shipping rate across the board for those locations.
