We are also stuck on the same here. Why doesn't cs-cart has a proper documentation.

We had the same issue with mv4.1.3 also

Also could someone explain to if i manually import all my products etc to a new version will it cause a problem in the future upgrades through Cs Cart automatic upgrade center?

Products and other store content should not cause any problems with the upgrades.

Is it possible to import product variant images as well?
