Hello All.
I created a product and originally named it Bullet. I saved it and have SEO Friendly URLs enabled.
I then decided to rename it to Custom Engraved Guitar Strap and saved it.
The SEO URL is not updated automatically.
Here is the original URL: http://cscart.myclientpreview.com/bullet.html
Is there a way to force it to update? I cant find where to edit it directly.
I would just create another product but this one uses the Product Designer Add-on and has had quite a bit of work put into it. I'd rather not invest that time again if it can be avoided.
Thanks

Hi there!
There is a tab on the product editing page called “add-ons”. You can update your SEO url there.
Regards,
Istvan
Thanks Istvan, I am running CS-Cart 3.0.3 and My Product Tab → Add-ons only has RMA, Best Selling and Reviews. Is there an additional setting I am missing to allow SEO to appear in Add-ons tab?
Thanks
Also the following link is broken in my Admin → http://cscart.myclientpreview.com/cscart_admin.php?dispatch=seo_rules.manage
That's SEO Rules under Website Tab
Is your SEO addon installed and Active? Just go to administration => Addons and scroll down to the SEO addon.
Thanks,
Brandon

Then your system has problems, I think. Please check the default functionallity here: http://demo.cs-cart.com/professional/admin.php
And after that check your SEO addon's settings, try reinstalling.
I moved the site from server to another. Uninstall/Re-install worked.
Is there any way to have the system update “SEO name” automatically after a change of “Product name” or “Category name” ?
That functionality is NOT built into the system. Other problem you would have is the old name(s) would generate 404 errors. I think this would be a very bad feature to implement because changing anything in SEO should be a very conscious decision. One could argue that the inital setting should be empty with a notification that SEO is enabled and that it should be set.
I know that 404 errors are bad but it's not good to change the product name and leave the seo url with the previous name. I always change SEO name manually after any change.
Is there any addon that changes the SEO automatically after a name change?
None that I'm aware of. It would be a couple of hours to implement and test…
this will be done through addon. Check the cscartrocks.com and webgraphiq.com who providing SEO addon.
