How Can I Remove -en From URLs?

I’m using 2.0.12. I checked the SEO addon checkbox that says, “Use single URL for all languages”, but when I assign a SEO name to a page (under content > pages), it still adds the -en after the SEO name when I save it.

Is this a bug or can I remove that somehow?

I would love to know this as well. It seemed that even after upgrading to 2.0.12 the cart didn’t add the -en, but now all of my categories do.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brandon

Did you remove the “Show language in the URL” checkbox in the SEO add-on??

BTW, if you need to fix this problem after the fact, I did it with CSV. Exported the products with the Seo name, did a find and replace to remove the “-en” and re-imported. Took about 2 mins…but you want to make sure you turn of that tick for any new products you create because it will add the “en” if enabled I believe.

Yeah I checked the box. I also removed the -en from my categories and products, but for some reason it will still come up. This doesn’t effect all of my products or categories, just some. Maybe I missed a few when I went through and deleted the -en?

I’ve been told that it could be that this only happens to SEO names that have been previously used and still exist in the DB even if they’re not active. The recommended action is to check the DB to see if these names already exist and delete them. Then, it should stop adding the -en.

I have NOT had a chance to confirm this yet, but I wanted to throw it out there in case you want to check this possibility.

Just wanted to confirm that this happened to me when I disabled the default ‘EN’ language and switched to another. Thanks for the info to fix it.
