Hide Product child variations from category view?!

Hi, we created several variations. Is it possible to not show them as below? There is too many and I dont see the need to show them one by one.

In this case the product feature should have the “Variations as one product” purpose instead of the “Variations as separate products” one

I know they all do but I can never tell which is the right feature. Plenty of doubles yet all are marked as one! When looking at product details there is no value behind the feature although in our ERP and Variations there is.

See images. Quite confusing where the system took the “GRÖßE” written with this style from?!

Hover over the product feature to find feature ID (it is displayed on your second screenshot)

What exactly can I use this ID for though? I found out that every feature needs to be within a feature group to be related to a product?!

I cant search for any feature groups though - I cant create a feature group for shoes which all relate to "Größe (ID 1) for example. I tried as you can see. How can I use the group id to see whats behind it?

I did at least 6 hours of reading and testing. I know everything and nothing now lol

Nothing worked. Not sure if this needs be set thru API? @ecomlabs

is this what you are trying to do

That looks cool. How to do it?

What we want is to have only one Variation shown in categories instead of every variant next to each other.

Create the parent product then all the other products as child variation of that product.
In your spreadsheet you will need two columns for the variation, the parent column variation id group, as just the standard boot say size 34…then the childs will belong to this “parent id group” in the column by adding the parents id number. For size 36,37,39,39 and so on

Thanks - Yeah we built an api so we need to figure out how to create variation groups within our EPR
