I just installed cs-cart 3.0.1 for a test drive and installed also the demo database.
The front page banner doesnt work for some reason. It show the 3 banners stacked under each other. If enabled in back-end to template-original the "hot deals " carousel works but the banner slider doesnt. If i enable the banner to “template-carousel” the “hot deals” carousel disappears and the banner slider still doesnt work. In the back-end tho when i switch the banner template from original to carousel it gives a error “something went wrong - pharsererror”
Does anyone know if this is a bug of some short?
Hello dexter4000,
Thank you for your message.
I am sorry to hear that you experience this problem. I have tried to reproduce it in my local CS-Cart installation of version 3.0.1, but failed to do it. So, unfortunately, I cannot tell what exactly causes the issue in your store. The problem requires examination on your server. Please contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide temporary access to your server by clicking on the Add record link on the Access information page of your Help Desk account so that we could examine the issue.
Thank you.

i checked the output and for some reason the addons/banners/js/slider.js is not loading.
also my test environment is running on php 5.4.
Hello dexter4000,
Thank you for the reply.
Could you please clarify what CS-Cart version you use? Because the mentioned slider.js file has been added since CS-Cart version 3.0.1 and I assume that you use CS-Cart version 2.2.4. In this case, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the banners slider will work properly in your store as long as there is no such a feature in CS-Cart version 2.2.4 by default.
As regards the fact that you use PHP 5.4, I want to note that we have tested CS-Cart for compatibility with PHP 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 (any minor version) only. Unfortunately, CS-Cart has not been tested for compatibility with PHP 5.4 yet, so we cannot guarantee stable operation of your store in this case. However we will certainly test it with PHP 5.4 in the nearest future and adapt CS-Cart source code if need be so that it could become compatible with this PHP version.
Thank you.

as you can see in post #1 im using CS-Cart 3.0.1. I even installed it on a live server and the issue with banners is the same.
You can take a look here www.simonhart.com/index.php
Hello dexter4000,
Thank you for the reply and provided clarifications.
I have checked your storefront with using different browsers and both sliders (in the block with banners and the Hot deals block) work without any problems. Could you clarify what browser you use and its version so that we can check it there ?
Also in order to check the error appeared in your CS-Cart admin panel, we need temporary FTP access to your server. So please contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide temporary access to your server by clicking on the Add record link on the Access information page of your Help Desk account so that we could examine the issue if you wish.
Thank you.

Even I have the same issue. Can I also grant you access to my server?
Was this issue ever resolved?
My banners used to show but they disappeared.
One thing to check is if you are running Adblocker Plus or not. CS-Cart still codes the banners inside of a container that is:
ad-container
And of course Adblocker blocks this since it is obviously an “ad”.
To check this, just disable Adblocker and refresh your page. If Adblocker is blocking your banner, then you can search for Adblocker here on the forum and you'll see a couple of posts by me with the solution.
I hope that helps,
Brandon
