So for instance, CS-Cart 3.0 seems to create a lot of random discussion links.
ie: mysite.com/category-page-2.html?selected_section=discussion
Again, this should be page 2 of discussion forum. For some reason I get an error message “Oops, something went wrong (error). Please try again.” when trying to jump to page 2 of reviews. This link must have been crawled by Google but stopped being an active link and now that it does not work, it is registering as a 404 error.
Another example:
http://mysite.com/category-page-2.html?sort_by=price&sort_order=desc&layout=products_multicolumns&selected_section=discussion
All of these relate to discussions. Is this a bug with discussions? Is there anyway to fix this. It makes the site look sloppy and full of problems.
These problems are not exclusive to Discussions, they are prevalent throughout CS-Cart. It seems CS-Cart added the 'SEO' module at some point of time and never ever revisited it, although in the current market it most definitely needs an overhaul.
There are a few third party SEO addons which will likely solve the problem to some extent, for example CS-Cart Rocks' 'Canonical' addon will help.

Thank you for the reply. I did purchase this, I believe. It lets me enter a canonical url for each product and category, and even a custom 404 page. Would I just be wise to make the 404 page my homepage and redirect all 404 content and replace the dead url?
