Featured Categories Slider?

I am looking for a way to present featured categories in a homepage slider, much like the “Hot Deals” slider. Basically I want to show 6 Categories with thumbnails that carousel every few seconds.



Is anyone aware of any add-ons that accomplish this, or is this something custom that would need to be done?

I have done this for featured products not categories (Featured Products - CS-Cart Addons/Πρόσθετα at Cscart.Biz | CS-Cart Market by Dvs.gr).



Can you tell a littel bit more on this about images, names etc How should be a featured category be recognized? Maually, some other kind of flagging?

Hey Fotis,



basically I want to replicate this slider or this new product listing on the homepage, but show Category's instead of products. The category's would be selected manually of course.
