What file(s) do I have to edit to change the way the header looks? I am used to seeing html and corresponding php files in the ftp, but I can only find the tpl but not anything to edit the header.
Edit: I mean how do I edit the blocks that make up the header?
For TPL files go to
Design : Design Mode : Enable Customization Mode : View STOREFRONT in customization mode.
View your web site and it will show you the tpl files used in every section.

Design : Blocks
