the instructions are not clear.
when transferring via FTP, do you need a “cscart” folder or do you place the files in root?

What do you want to ‘transfer’?
2.1.1 install
2.1.1 install
You can install it anywhere. In the root, in a subfolder (domain.xx/sublolder/) or as a subdomain (subdomain.domain.xx).
Ive tried
http://mysite.com/install/
and
http://mysite.com/cscart_v2.1.1-professional/install/
both give 500 error
Cs-cart already has a install directory built in. Why are you creating one?
Just untar (or unzip and FTP) all the files to your sites root directory and run
http://mysite.com/install and it will install itself.
from install.txt:
“4. The last major installation step is running the CS-Cart Installation
Wizard. In your browser go to the following URL:
http://www.my_site.com/install/
(replace “my_site.com” with your site’s URL).”
never said I was creating a new install directory
forget it just clear the files and folders and start again, upload all to your root, no www.yoursite.com/subfolder
just www.yoursite.com, then go to www.yoursite.com/install
the site worked on 1st install. then upgrade was done. store didnt work. then upgrade undone. all files deleted. uploaded files again. now new install does not work at all
Ive uploaded cscart_v2.1.1-professional folder. that didnt work.
Ive uploaded files without folder (ie to root). same problem.
mysite.com/install says:
