Will there be any documentation released for v 2.2 or are things much the same except for looks and style.
When is a good time to update after an upgrade like this.

When to upgrade is a function of your risk tolerance.
- Some upgrade immediately and then just deal with the issues.
- Others wait a couple of weeks to see what surfaces in the bugtracker before making their decision.
Others wait for the next release and repeat 1 & 2 there too.
I would never upgrade to the first release of a major release for a production site (I.e. 2.0.1, 2.1.0 or 2.2.1). In this case, I'll wait and watch 2.2.2 when it becomes available in a couple of weeks.
Cs-cart release quality has gotten much better over the past year, but no one is good enough to get me to go with a new major release without bugfix modifications.

Unfortunately, we could not prepare the new documentation before the release due to a high workload. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issue. Our specialists are working on the updated documentation now and will do their best to complete it as soon as possible. But most probably it will take not less than several weeks.
Thanks for the info, that is what I was after.
Where can I find details of what has changed with released updates.
