Can Cs-Cart have a different shipping cost (manual table based on price) for different categories? If so, how?
For example, order jewelry use one shipping table, order books use another shipping table.
You can accomplish this by using the Supplier addon - assign books to one supplier and jewelry to another. You can also assign whch shipping methods are available based on the supplier.

Great. What happens if they purchase products from both categories? Does it default to the higher? I do not want it to chrage two shipping charges.
It will calculate the shipping charge for the products from each supplier. However, if you uncheck “Multiple shipping method selectboxes” in the Supplier setup in addons, the total of computed shipping charges is displayed.
