Deleting A Category

I have the following question.

If I delete a category, will all products of the category be deleted, even if the products belong to more than one category?

For example, a product is included in Category A and Category B. If I delete category A, will the product be deleted or just remain in category B.

On the latest versions product will not be deleted, but if you delete main product category, it will not have main category anymore

As far as I remember, it can cause php warnings on some pages, But the item still will be displayed in the catalog and will be available for purchase
