I was wondering if there was a psd or some other type of working graphic files available of the default skin so I can make some minor image adjustments without having to recreate the images?

Not that I’ve ever seen. There is the preview jpg, but that won’t be much help to you.
All the images are there though. You could just take them and re-compile them into a psd. I wouldn’t think it would take all that long.
