Database take along time to backup

My Database usually take 15 mins or so to backup via csc admin, (5gb) and the past few dayas take 3 hours.
I have asked the host who seesm to thing nothing unsual is happening on the server,

Any ideas where I may start to look first ?

Try to ask support team to calculate the size of tables, maybe something can be cleaned up.

I mean cscart_logs for example.
