CS-Cart and Dreamweaver 8.0

can i edit the cart in dreamweaver and if so can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do and how since im not familiar with dreamweaver but do have the program

thanks

I edit all of my code with Dreamweaver. There really isn’t great way to edit the files visually. One thing that might help though is the smarty exension for Dreamweaver. You can download the extension at:

I don’t personally use the extension as I just do everything with code, but if you google it you will find a ton of stuff on it.

I hope this helps,

Brandon

Notepad++ is what I use on a daily basis, only using Dreamweaver for HTML previews.

I use:

  1. Dreamweaver
  2. Notepad++
  3. WinMerge

I love WinMerge

he asked if someone can help step by step instruction for the cart design. not what you guys use. :slight_smile:

Wow, I just downloaded and tried PSPAD. Pretty cool editor. I think I will use this to maintain my cs-cart sites rather than Dreamweaver. I have the tpl extension for Dreamweaver and have been using its code view, but PSPAD seems much more powerful. Especially since the WYSIWYG feature of Dreamweaver does you no good with cs-cart.

In PSPAD all one has to do is add .tpl to the HTML file extension list and you are good to go.
