I know when I did similar, the only way I knew how to do it was to make custom codes, and set up a promotion with all the codes, and each only can be used once per customer.
I thought there was a way to generate codes, but I’ve never tried that feature IF it exists.
there is. Promotion/Action and then you can create single codes to print and give out under certain conditions. Whats confusing is that the entire marketplace needs to participate because I could not find a way to limit by vendor
I’m only using the standard MV, so I don’t know if it’s different in more advances versions. But whenever I’ve done something similar, most of my vendors participate. So to exclude specific vendors I have to add their products to a list that will not be affected by any promotion.
I think having a simple option to not include specific vendors would be much easier.
Hello @asus78,
Take a look for our personal coupon codes addon, you can generate or import unique coupon codes for gust users and print them and lounch a promoaction for them.
If you will have any quesions, please, mail us. Thank you!
Valid question. I think most of the built in addons and features are basic and outdated. Sadly we’d need to invest in modifications to make them modern and impactful.
For example, to modify the promotions addon so that we can create campaigns by setting the conditions, bonuses and expiring date. Then sending notifications SMS/Mail to vendors. Vendors can choose to participate by adding products themselves.
Example, “10% discount this Friday only” on appliances.
Vendors choose to opt in by adding their products, provided they meet the conditions.
This would make an organised and structured promotion system, especially if the marketplace does paid social and Google Ads.
