Hello, I have a question regarding Multi-Vendor Plus. I would like to know: In Multi-Vendor Plus, does each vendor need a separate payment gateway add-on, or is there a central add-on that works for everyone? I want to confirm: if a vendor simply enters their own payment details (e.g. PayPal or Stripe), will they receive payments without needing a separate add-on? And if I enable or disable the central add-on, does that automatically apply to all vendors? In other words, does it function centrally for all, or do I need to configure each one individually in the system?
Thank you very much!
Hello
In Multi-Vendor (Plus), payment gateways are NOT installed per vendor. They work centrally: as the marketplace operator you install/enable a payment add-on once, and its on/off status applies to the whole marketplace, all vendors at the same time. There is no separate add-on to install for each vendor.
How vendors receive money depends on one central add-on, Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments:
-
Without it: all payments go to YOUR (the operator’s) payment gateways. The money lands in your account first, and you pay each vendor afterwards via payouts. Vendors do not enter their own gateway details in this mode.
-
With it enabled: the checkout changes so customers pay each vendor separately and the money goes straight to the vendor. In this mode each vendor only enters their OWN payment details (PayPal/Stripe) in their vendor panel, and they receive payments directly. They still do not install any add-on hemselves. If a vendor has no active payment method of their own, your pyment methods are used as a fallback and you forward the money to that vendor.
So: the add-ons are managed centrally by you and a single enable/disable applies to all vendors. Per-vendor confguration is limited to each vendor entering their own payment credentials, only when Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments is enabled.
Best regards
Robert
