Change to "Latest orders" on the Dashboard

How might I be able to make a change to “Latest orders” on the Dashboard.

What I would like to see is only orders with the “Open” and “Waiting on Payment” status. And increase the number of orders listed perfer to have all of the above show.

This would be handy. We do it now by sorting the orders by status.
