Please welcome our CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor Mobile Application!
When developing the application, we focused on increasing the speed of work, improving usability, and add-ons compatibility. We tried to add support for most of the built-in CS-Cart add-ons, as well as the most popular add-ons from the third-party developers.

In our work, we also tried to follow the latest trends in mobile app development and add new modern features to Cart-Power: Mobile App.

Mobile app features:
- Mobile app for marketplaces and online stores. Data is fully synchronized with the web version of CS-Cart.
- Modern design, with the ability to customize elements directly from the CS-Cart admin panel.
2.1. Blocks for the product detail page and for the main page of the app are configured in the Block Settings.
2.2. It is possible to specify a link for the View all button.
2.3. It is possible to specify text for this button.
- “Product tabs” feature is supported. The app supports configured product tabs, such as: tags, product variants, attached files. The list of supported product tabs is expanding.
- Downloadable products feature is supported.
- Quantity stock tracking is supported as wel as out of stock actions.
- RMA support. You can issue returns through the app.
- Call Requests add-on is supported.
- Message Center add-on is supported.
- Reward Points add-on is supported.
- Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments add-on is supported.
- Support for shipping methods from the pick-up point. With the ability to show the pick-up point on the map.
- Support for push notifications for events that send email notifications to customers. With the ability to customize the text of the title and body of the notification, similar to setting up email notifications.
- A carousel for the banner block with the carousel type with the ability to set the scroll speed in the block settings.
- An indication that there are products in the favorites.
- The ability to view the entire review.
- The ability to specify the number of products by entering the quantity from the keyboard. Also If the user quickly clicks on + or -, then he will be asked to enter the quantity manually.
- Search works without going to another page. Also added the ability to search on the main page.
- Improved search results, added price and photo.
- The ability to copy the article by clicking.
- The ability to share the product.
- The ability to add “Order notes” when placing an order
- Vendor products are immediately shown on the vendor page.
- The ability to clear the cart. Also, when you first go to the cart, an introductory animation will be shown illustrating the swipe feature.
- On product lists, it is possible to switch between two views - grid or list.

PowerApp update: migrating from v1 to v2
Dear friends! We are pleased to announce the release of a major update of our mobile application for CS-Cart – PowerApp v2. In this update, we have done a huge amount of work on the design, functionality and performance of the application. Below we will tell you why this update was needed and what new opportunities it opens up.

Why was an update needed?
PowerApp v1 served as a working base: it contained minimal essential functionality for the catalog and orders, without extra extensions. Despite this, some applications implemented on it have collected more than 2,000 downloads – that is, v1 turned out to be not just an MVP, but a full-fledged sales tool. However, both users and vendors expected more from the mobile application. Therefore, in v2 we decided to completely update the design and integrate support for many add-ons, so that the application has become more modern, convenient and flexible.
New design and UX

Complete redesign. Outdated frames of interface elements have been removed, modern shadows and “airy” cards for displaying products and content have been added. The application looks fresh and modern.

List virtualization. Long catalogs and product lists now load and scroll much faster due to dynamic loading of elements.

Bottom Sheet as standard. All the main actions (product viewing, filters, order placement, display selection) are carried out through convenient lower modal windows (Bottom Sheet), which significantly simplify navigation.

Working with animation. Custom screen placeholders (skeleton screens) and smooth transitions when loading data have been implemented - the interface has become more responsive and “live”.

Simplified ordering process. In v1 the ordering process took three steps, now it’s all reduced to one step - making purchases faster and easier.

Product page. The product page has become much more informative: a gallery of images is immediately available in product lists (you can view several photos by scrolling through the card). Videos, promo banners and special tags (labels) on products are also supported. Extended reviews have been added to the detailed page, as well as more product tabs.
New features and screens

Reviews. A completely new product review screen - visually appealing and informative, with the ability to view all reviews and add your own ones.

Blog, brands, vendors. Separate sections “All vendors”, “All brands” and “Blog” have appeared, where users can view the list of marketplace vendors, product brands, and read blog articles directly in the application.

Wishlists. Now users can add products to their wishlists even without authorization. Favorite products are always at hand, and they will be saved after the user logs in to his account.

Multi-storefronts. Switching among storefronts (storefronts are different platforms or areas within a single marketplace or online store) is supported directly within the application. For example, you can quickly switch among a food, clothing or auto goods storefronts in one application.

Multi-addressing. Users can save multiple delivery addresses and select the desired one when placing an order. This is convenient for those who have several addresses (home, work, etc.).

Guest orders. Now you can make a purchase without authorization (in the guest mode). If a user logs in later, the order will be automatically linked to his profile. This lowers the threshold for making the first purchase. All this is taken into account by the settings in CS-Cart.

Deep Links. Deep linking support has been implemented: the application can open necessary pages using special links from external sources or notifications. For example, a push notification about a change in the order status will lead directly to the screen of this order, a notification about arrival of goods in stock - to the product page, and a link to a promotion or category - directly to the application. All such deep links are configured in the CS-Cart admin panel.

Push notifications for unauthorized users. Previously, push notifications were sent only to authorized users. Now you can remind about products and promotions even to guests who have given their consent to notifications. This will help engage unauthorized users.

OTP authorization. Integration with the one-time password (OTP) add-on: users can log in to the application using a code from an SMS without entering a permanent password. This speeds up and simplifies authorization and registration.

Live search. Integration with the Cart-Power: Live Search add-on: search results appear instantly as you type your query, without a separate search results page. This saves time and makes search more interactive. The search results also show categories and brands that match the search query, which increases conversion.

Filters. The product filter screen has been completely redesigned – it has become clearer and more convenient. Users can quickly select products based on required parameters.

Video banners and blocks with timers. Thanks to the support of add-ons by AlexBranding, modern marketing blocks can be added to the application: video banners and promotion blocks with a countdown (timers). This opens up new opportunities for attracting attention to promotions.

Home page. The application start screen now supports more block types, including promotions and banners. You can flexibly customize the main screen to suit your marketing needs directly from the CS-Cart admin panel.

Support for standard add-ons “Warehouses” and “General Products”. The application has received full compatibility with the Warehouses and General Products add-ons. This means that if several warehouses are used, the stock of goods is displayed correctly, and common products of different sellers are also available in the mobile application.

Vendor panel. The vendor panel has been implemented in the application. Marketplace sellers can log in to the application as vendors and gain access to managing their products and orders: add new products, edit prices and descriptions, process incoming orders, etc. Now the mobile application is useful not only for buyers, but also for vendors.

Support for third-party add-ons. We have added compatibility with popular our own and third-party add-ons that extend CS-Cart capabilities. For example, the app supports add-ons AB: Extended Promotions, Cart-Power: Vendor’s Minimum Order Amount, AB: Video gallery and others. This means that if these add-ons are installed on your site, their functionality (promotions, advanced blog features, video galleries in products, etc.) will also be available in the mobile application. Technical and hidden improvements

Stability when the Internet is lost. If the connection is lost, the application no longer “crashes”. Instead, a notification about the loss of network is shown, and the application correctly waits for reconnection. A user can continue working from the same place as soon as the Internet is back.

Caching of blocks and lists. Data caching for certain blocks and long lists of products has been implemented. As a result, the number of network requests is reduced, and pages load noticeably faster especially when reopened.

Caching of images. Uploaded product and banner images are saved in one’s application. Even with bad Internet connection, images will already be loaded, and the interface will remain responsive.

Optimized loading of screens. Background processes on app launching are now hidden behind animated skeleton screens. A user sees smooth animation instead of a static splash screen, which makes waiting more comfortable.

Updated React Native and libraries. We have migrated the app to the latest version of React Native and updated all main libraries. The result is increased speed of work, compatibility with new requirements of the App Store and Google Play, and generally “refreshed” technical base of the project.

Geolocation via DaData. Built-in automatic detection of the user’s city via the free API of the DaData service when the application is launched for the first time. This speeds up location selection for delivery and increases the convenience of the first interaction. Besides, geolocation options of add-on Stores and Pickup Points are available too. With this add-on, users will select a city from the list of locations where stores are available.

Crash analytics. The error tracking mechanism has been added to the application. All exceptions and failures in the application are automatically recorded and sent to the developers. This allows you to quickly learn about problems and fix them so that nothing goes unnoticed.

Google Analytics (Firebase) and Yandex.Metrica. Popular analytics services have been integrated. Key indicators and events are tracked: screen views, order placements, registrations, account logins, abandoned carts, etc. This will help you better understand user behavior and effectiveness of marketing activities.
Who is this update for?

Users. First of all, the update will please customers: a more modern and responsive interface, quick search and ordering, buying without registration, convenient filters, informative product cards and instant notifications significantly improve the user experience.

Administrators and vendors. Administrators now have more flexibility in setting up the application: you can remotely manage banners, promotions, deep links,video blocks and other elements via the CS-Cart admin panel. It is now possible to launch exclusive promotions visible only in the application. Thanks to multi-showcase support, one application can simultaneously serve several showcases (business areas), which simplifies the support of marketplaces. For sellers - a convenient application for managing product stock and orders.

Business owners. For business owners, the mobile app has become faster and stabler, ensuring uninterrupted operation. New marketing functions allow you to cover not only basic needs (purchases, catalog), but also sales through promotions, push notifications, and analytics. The application now fully complements the website, strengthening the position of your brand in the mobile market.
Vector of development
V2 is an intermediate stage in the development of our product. We have shown the current state of the application and will actively collect feedback in order to move forward based on it. In future updates, we plan to implement even more useful features:

Own system of push notifications and mailings directly from the CS-Cart admin panel. This will allow you to send notifications to users directly, without third-party services.

Promotional pop-up windows. The ability to display promo pop-ups in the application - banners that appear over the interface to inform users of important promotions and offers.

Chats and advanced notification system. We are looking into implementing built-in chats for customer support as well as improving the notification system (e.g. finer settings, grouping, new types of notifications).

Visual and functional changes to the seller panel. We have implemented basic functionality so that sellers can manage products and orders. Now we want to expand the functionality and improve the UX/UI to make it more convenient for sellers.

Integration of popular add-ons. We are willing to find out what add-ons users consider must-have for the mobile application, and we plan to gradually add support for the most popular solutions.

PowerApp v2 by Cart-Power – a new design, dozens of useful features, improved stability and expanded marketing capabilities. The application has become faster, more convenient and more modern. If you are already using v1, now is the time to update and feel the difference.
