Cart-Power Add-On: Webp Images

Friends, we've released WebP Images add-on!

Fast pages load is crucial for modern online-store. One of the ways to achieve it is to convert images to modern WebP format. It saves source image quality but generally is 25% less in size than JPG or PNG.

WebP Images add-on automatically converts store graphics (product photos, banners, logos, etc.), and if user's browser does not support this format, they will see source images.

With WebP Images client won't notice any difference in quality, but site pages will load faster.

How does it work?

- Select one of three available quality modes for images conversion.

- Set conversion type: on page loading or in the background while browsing it.

- Images are converted automatically on the first page opening and WebP images are displayed on its further loads.

Add-on features:

- Works with images of any resolutions and formats;

- Allows to select conversion quality;

- Automatically converts images in the background mode or on page loading.

Please work harder on your addons before public release !

your addons doesn't work !

i treed all version up to 1.4 but still not work!

Dear friends!

We have updated our WebP Images add-on!

In the new version 1.15 from 08 July 2021 we have implemented the next list of changes:

[*] - The processing time of the database query for removing an image was significantly reduced.
[!] - If there were errors while processing an image in the ImageMagick library, execution of the CRON command stopped. Fixed.
[!] - Watermarked WebP images were not removed. Fixed.
[!] - When generating datafeed files in yml format, images in webp format were used, which is not suitable for this purpose. Fixed.
[!] - Unitheme2: width and height attributes of the images disappear when the add-on was on. Fixed.

- Multivendor version 4.8.x - 4.13.Ñ…;

The addon generates an error notice for each image, we do not use the watermark plugin.

We have updated our WebP Images add-on to version 1.16 from 03 of December 2021.

What is new:

[+] - Added compatibility with modules CP: Smart Image Cropper v2.6 and CP: Image Optimization v2.5.
[!] - An error message â€œYou canâ€™t load WebP imagesâ€ appeared on the vendor registration form. Fixed.

we use amazon cdn. on the product page the link to popup image is displayed incorrectly. Link to original Jpg and not to webp.

How is it with you?

not sure but I will check when back home.

on the meantime maybe try and clear cache and thumbnail cache

I have checked and mine does not show thumbnail correctly.

so I disabled cdn, cleared cache, deleted thumbnail directory , re enable cdn and still doesnt work for thumbnail.
