This integration with the DaData API adds smart suggestions and autofill to the admin panel and storefront. The user begins typing, and the system offers ready-made, verified options. One click, and the fields are filled without errors.
What the add-on does
1. Hints and autofill:
- Addresses
- Organizations and sole proprietors
- Banks
- Full name
You select the suggestion API for a specific profile field and configure which data from DaData will be written to it.
For example:
By company name, the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Checkpoint Registration Point (KPP), Primary State Registration Number (OGRN), organization type, and legal address are automatically filled in.
By address, the postcode, city, region, and country are filled in.
By BIC, the bank details are filled in.
The user clicks on the hint, and the data is sorted into the required fields.
Works anywhere profile fields exist.
The add-on integrates into all key areas of CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor:
- Customer profile (storefront and admin panel)
- Vendorprofile
- Administrator profile
- Order checkout
- Order editing
Wherever data entry occurs, hints are available.
Flexible customization of the filling logic
The add0on is more than just “hints.” It’s a data management tool.
You can:
- Select the API type for each field
- Specify which value from the DaData response will be used in the field
- Configure parent and child fields
- Automatically fill in the dependent fields
- Clear fields when key values change
Example:
If a user manually changes the “Address,” the “Zip Code” field can be automatically cleared so they can re-enter it consciously.
If a field has multiple “parents,” clicking on the hint in any of them will update the dependent values. You can also simply enter data manually without selecting the hint—in this case, automatic overwriting will not occur.
