Cant log into my admin and vendor page after renaming admin file to admin8765.php

[COLOR=“Navy”][quote name=‘ravt’]In order to rename your admin script properly you should do the follwoing:

  • Rename the “admin.php” file located in the root directory of your CS-Cart installation.
  • Edit the “config.local.php” file (it is located in the same directory) by replacing the following line of the code:

    $config[‘admin_index’] = ‘admin.php’;

    with this one:

    $config[‘admin_index’] = ‘admin8765.php’;

    where admin8765.php is the new name given to the “admin.php” file.
  • Save the file.
  • Clean up the template cache. In order to do it open this link in your browser: http://www.your_domain.com/admin.php?cc where www.your_domain.com is the address of your store. Before cleaning the templates cache you should be logged in to the administration panel of your store.

    Please note: the link to your administration panel will be changed from http://www.your_domain.com/admin.php to http://www.your_domain.com/admin8765.php where www.your_domain.com is the address of your store.[/COLOR]

Did you rename the file too or just change the name of it in the config file? You have to actually rename the file too.

I did rename the admin.php file to admin8765.php and changed it in the config.local.php

what do you mean by " i couldnot login to my admin account"

state the error you see if any

I have re-uploaded all the admin skin files and the admin login box is showing now but the login button is not showing.

Please kindly see my site url for confirmation: [B][url]http://productsalesman.com/admin8765.php?dispatch=auth.login_form&return_url=admin8765.php[/url][/B]

I dont know what could be the cause. Please if you have experienced this before kindly assist me. From the admin source code, every thing is okay but I cant trace the reason why the btton is not showing.

Ever since i uploaded my site, I have not been able to log in the admin.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Mike

Edit: Nevermind, seems they got this out the door quicker than I expected!

Try changing your skin/template and see if you have the same issue.

I tried to access with false name and password, then pressed “tab” so in theory it would move on to the button if it were there, then I hit enter and it seemed to try and access the admin.

Give it a go with the correct username etc

Good luck

Hello John;

Thanks for your contribution. However, it didnt work as the tab movess to the CS-Cart logo at the top of the login box. Thats why it could not login. I tried it on my live site and observed the position of the tab from the status bar and then tried it on my production site in my localhost site that is running properly.

On the localhost site, I observed that after the tab moves from the button it goes to the CS Cart logo on the box and then to the “Forgot your password?” text and so on.

Oh! some one shold please help me out.

@adodric - 2.1.2 is the “rellease” of multi-vendor.

@mnwuzor - There is no button in your page source (hidden or otherwise). This would indicate that you have a problem with your installed templates.

Thanks for your response.

However, you did not state the very template you mean in your response. Are you talking about my admin skin or the frontend skin.

See my site: www.productsalesman.com

Admin url: www.productsalesman.com/admin8765.php

Does it look like it was not properly installed. Please help me check and advice further.

Thanks

Mike

Could it be this bug?

@mnwuzor - Can’t tell you which template is bad, only that one is in your admin area.

@zeero6 - I doubt it since others are not reporting this difficulty.
