I feel like I’m missing something obvious here but I can’t seem to get this to work. I have 5 pages and they each have sub-pages. I want them to appear in the top menu and I have the top menu items working but the submenu items don’t show up.
Here’s what I have specified for the submenu item…
I have chosen the parent item
The URL has been specified
Activate menu tab for: pages.view&page_id=3 (which is the parent page)
Generate submenu for: (the parent page)
I’ve tried a number of variations on this theme but no luck. And yep…the submenu item is active and localization has been set properly.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
This is what works for me:
Activate menu tab for: pages
Generate submenu: Page-All pages
Make sure you clear your template cache:
[url]yourdomain.com

Thanks Bob! That worked…but I think I would have figured this out a while ago had I not been in Customization mode. Apparently the sub menus aren’t keen to work in that mode. Cheers!
I just found this thread in the forums, because I couldn’t disable Customization Mode. I tried restarting Firefox but I couldn’t switch it off. It was affecting my dropdown menus as well (although strangely it didn’t seem to affect IE).
Clearing the cache worked!
Also, note:
[ yourdomain.com/admin.php?dispatch=static_data.manage§ion=A&cc ]
You must enter both “yourdomain.com” and the custom name (if any) of your “admin.php”. I had renamed mine “controlpanel.php”, so it wasn’t working at first.
