If you haven’t yet done much work in building your site, then you will be best off starting with a fresh install of 2.0.8. You should still be able to retain the majority of your skin design work if you have much time invested. Just be certain to download your customized skin folder and save it to be certain you don’t loose it!

There have been alot of changes since version 2.0.3 which is to be more or less expected with a new major release!

i dont want to loose all my store settings …

suppliers , customers , product attributes and options …

shipping setup

payment setup

took weeks to get it all working correctly …

I have scripts written that use the supplier ids

when importing my items from my suppliers …

the files im not to concerned about …

products not to concerend about …

but the rest was a nightmare setting up …

i dont want to loose my database …

You sure about that Joe? The packages.xml file should have multiple entries for every upgrade since 2.0.3. When that file is read/parsed, it should download the appropriate -.tgz directory (who names a directory with a tgz suffix anyway!).

While I’ve not verified that those revisions are still available from cs-cart, I do know that is how it was designed. And I do believe I did multiple upgrades at one time back about the 2.0.5 era…
