Hi there, does anyone know of a way to set up a buy 2 get one free promotion? I want to be able to have a customer buy any two products from one subcategory and get a third item from that category free. Ive played around and cant get it to work, whats happening now is they add one item to their cart and the promotion is activated already…?
If anyone knows a step by step would be amazing Thanks!
Hello TashNZ,
To set up the 'Buy two, get one free' promotion, please take the following steps:
- Go to the “Promotions” page (the link to this page is in the “Catalog” tab).
- Click the “Add cart promotion” button.
- Enter the name of the promotion in “General” tab.
- Click the “Add condition” button in “Conditions” tab.
- In the opened list select “Products”.
- Click on the “Add products” link.
- Choose the two products which a customer should buy to get another product for free and click the “Add products and close” button.
8 ) Click the “Add bonus” button in “Bonus” tab .
- In the opened list select “Free products”.
- Click on the “Add products” link.
- Choose the product(s) which a customer should get for free and click the “Add products and close” button.
- Click the “Create” button.
I hope it will help you.

Hi thanks for that. But its not just two specific products. Its a mix of 5 products from one sub category. They can select any two from that category and then get their choice of any one of 5 products for free. Does that make sense? Ive tried a few things, but cant seem to get it to activate ONLY when they have picked two products from the 'Minky Nappies' category…
Hello TashNZ,
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately, some PHP code changes are required to be made to implement this feature. You can make them yourself (if you know PHP) or hire a third-party developer (here you can find a lot of offers from CS-Cart developers or consider our custom development service).
