Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off Promotion

Is it possible to set up a Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off Promotion using the promotion tool. When I try to set it up I get the original item at 50% off, I set the promo so that when you buy 2 you get them at 75% off each, then it continues the discount for each one after.



So what am I missing?

Under Promotions



Conditions = “Purchased Products”

Add the product you are offering the Buy 1 Get 1 50% OFF

You need to select the product and make sure the quantity is set to 2

Actions = “Discount on products” = 25%

Add the same product you have in Conditions



Now when a person will purchase 1 product their is no discount.

If they add another one to the cart = 2 they will get 50% one of them

OR 2 @ 25% OFF each.



To stop it right there so that if a customer has 3 products in the cart you will need to create another “Promotion”…(sorry this is the only way I’ve found to do this)



Conditions = “Purchased Products”

Add the product you are offering the Buy 1 Get 1 50% OFF

You need to select the product and make sure the quantity is set to 3

Actions = “Discount on products” = 0 Percent

Add the same product you have in Conditions



Make sure you check action as available and Save under Condition rules.



That should do it.

Also i want to make like Buy1 Get 1 Free on all of my products. Can you please provide this steps also.

I might be wrong here, but the only way I know to do this is to add a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Promotion for each individual product.



Under Promotions



Conditions = “Purchased Products”

Add the product you are offering the Buy 1 Get 1 FREE

You need to ADD the product and make sure the quantity is set to 1



Actions = “Free Products” = Add the same product you have in Conditions

You need to ADD the same product and make sure the quantity is set to 1



Now on any product that you have set this Promotion the customer will automatically have the same product added to their cart.



The only issue with this is there is no way to to “increment” the Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer…in other words if a customer adds 2 or more of 1 product they will only Get 1 Free…so it doesn’t naturally increment to Buy 2 Get 2 Free, Buy 3 Get 3 free…you’d have to set up an individual Promotion for each increment.
