B2B Shop Question

Hi there at CS Cart,

we are currently using a differen Shop Script (XT Commerce) which is ok, but has a lot of missing features like editing orders, printing Invoices and much more. So we are currently looking for another great Shopping Cart Software and we do like CS Cart.

We have downloaded the 60 Days Demo and installed it locally on our XAMP Server. PERFECT !

Now we have some additional Questions before we buy.

  1. How easy will it be to import existing Products into CS Cart?
  2. Can we import Categories, too?
  3. We are located in Germany and we want to only sell in some B2B environment. This means that our Customers do register on our Website, we approve them and then they are allowed to shop on our site. Works in CS, we already tested that. But we do have some Problems with the Taxes. If a customer is from Germany, he has to pay Taxes (19%). If a Customer is from the European Union we do need his VAT # (added this as an extra field) and he does not need to pay the taxes. So we registered a EU Customer, ticked the “Ext Taxes” in his Profile field and placed a test order. He does not have to pay Taxes but the TAX is stated on his invoice. Why? Maybe we did a little thinking problem here.

We really do like the functions and all the extras we have in CS and in no other Shopping Cart System.

We thank you in advance for your answers and support.

After your customer has provided you with their VAT#, then you should be able to check “Tax Exempt” under their account profile to eliminate taxs being displayed for them.
