Automated vendor payouts add-on for CS-Cart Multi-Vendor

It seems that PayPal support Chain Payments (under Adaptive Payments) without the needs of using PayPal Pro.

Please confirm if CS cart will update the add on so that Vendors will not need to use PayPal Pro.

I would be interested in buying this extension but only if there was a payement directly to vendors (simple Paypal not PRO and other payments modes like checks and money transfer) and after commission (invoicing) for Admin for each sales.

Direct payment to Admin is good only for PayPal - double commission!!!

I'm supporting frathom and voting for this project!

Has anyone had any luck with buying/using this addon yet?

I lodged a ticket to CS-Cart yesterday which was just replied to, and they advised that this functionality will be standard in version 4.1, however if I need the functionality now, I have to order custom development and it would be quoted. I can't understand this since CS-Cart themselves promoted this addon over a year ago! Sometimes dealing with CS-Cart can be a royal nightmare.

I'm launching a website on Monday that requires this functionality, can anyone advise if this addon actually exists or if there is an alternative?

Thanks

@SpyreDigital

This addon is available for v3. I purchased a similar addon and have it install on my site HOWEVER, I disabled it and do not use it. It works well up to a point. Here's the scenario:

Your customer/buyer adds three items from three different vendors in their cart then proceeds to checkout. Upon checkout they see the 'stacked carts' (a separate cart for each vendor) each with their own 'checkout' or 'pay' button. When they checkout from Vendor #1, they are directed to PayPal where they sign in and complete that transaction. HERE'S THE PROBLEM: After completing that first transaction, the customer/buyer has to click a tiny blue text link to return back your site. If they don't see the link, the other two carts are potentially abandoned. OR if they try to return to the site without clicking the link from their first completed transaction, your site's cart may not be updated properly reflecting that they had paid for the first item. The process does become tedious and tiresome and is not completely intuitive or user-friendly.

As I said before, I have a similar addon installed but disabled. My addon did not require me or my vendors to have PayPal PRO which is absolutely cost prohibitive. This thread is for an addon that requires both you AND vendors to use PRO.

Off topic but potentially helpful to you: I recently installed an addon that allows me to accept credit card payments via Stripe and I like it. Stripe is free to use and they only take a small percentage of the amount (very similar to PayPal without the $30/month charge). I have not attempted to use it with the “stacked cart” or multi cart add on.

Hope that helps…

Stripe looks good but I've not seen it work with multivendor on cscart.

What multivendor needs is a checkout which allows the customer to check out once regardless of numbers of vendor products bought and for the payments to automatically be sent on to the vendors without intervention by cs cart admin. I don't like the idea that admin can interfere with the vendor payments and potentially change or indeed delay payments to the vendors.

Does stripe allow for this?

Just seen that stripe keeps the money for seven days. Not good. At least with the individual checkouts the vendors get their cash immediately into their account.

When the multi vendor payment function comes to 4.1 I hope it just uses one page and you don't have to send the customer to an external site and back again as ShowStuff talks about above. I guess you could just not offer those payment types to vendors and only allow them to use those that don't navigate the customer away from their checkout on csccart

Can we still purchase this addon? Is it dead or yet alive?

We plan to use stripe so will it work with it?

So I have been looking into this module a little: http://www.simtechdev.com/adaptive-payments-by-paypal.html

They have a demo but what I don't like is it seems to do a redirect to paypal to complete the checkout. To me it would make sense to have a payment gateway like authorize.net charge the buyer, put the money into the store owners merchant account and then pay the vendors via paypal. The fact that the buyer is redirected away from the store doesn't seem like a good solution to me. Most people tend to get to the paypal checkout screen and if they don't have paypal they don't usually see the pay with credit card option and give up.

I just built a site for a client and he is also having a hard time getting approved for paypal pro or wellsfargo to accept credit cards because apparently they don't support multi tenant store fronts anymore. Anyone have any suggestions for a good merchant? Later!
