Apply Promotion Not To All Products

I am looking to make a cart promotion (ie 10%) for all products excepts the one in a selected category.

If I exclude a category in condition and cart include one products of this category, promotion is stopped for all products.

Is there a way to let the promotion calculate for the other products except the ones that should be excluded ?

Thanks eCom. It could work but only if the products to exclude are registered only to one category. As my products belong to multiple categories, it does not work :(

As far as I know, system checks promotions by main product category

I have same problem as Pasca. Excluded product from promotion can be only with one category applied. Does somebody found solution to this?
