The credit card is validated but the problem is anyone can enter a bogus 3 digit cvv code or expiration date and the order completes successfully. Is there a way to check and see if these fields are really valid? I’ve lost quite a few orders because of this. I manually process my orders and my products are digtal downloads so waiting to manually verify the card is not an option. Thanks
There really is no way to do this without having a processor.

Paypal Standard does as far as I can tell , otherwise it won’t go through, I’m sure google checkout works the same way but I’m not sure I don’t use it.
Paypal actually gives you quite a bit of control over how strict this validation is, whether it be validating the billing address as well as the CVV code.
For example, with Paypal Pro and Express Payments, we do not even use the CVV validation (nor do we even present the CVV fields to the customer during checkout in our case). So, you can make the transaction fail upon a mismatch of the CVV code, or completely remove the need to use it, whatever you choose. You can fine tune these settings within your Paypal Admin panel.
