So, since my CS-CART got hacked at the former webserver I tried to install it on a new server but upgrading keeps giving me an error and I find it frustrating and nearly impossible to solve.
CS-Cart support has given me the instructions to remove the upgrade.lock file inside /var/upgrades
It still does not work.
Any idiotproof solution to this?

How was it hacked? Meaning what files were modified?
The whole /public_html root was removed. Other than that I don't know to be honest.

If virtual servers users root is /public_html how can this user delete this category?
My server was hacked with ftp access, passwords were stolen after my PC was infected from filezilla client xml file where passwords are not encoded.
