We are glad to announce the release of our new add-on “Smart 404 Not Found URL’s Fixer”!
The Smart 404 Not Found URL’s Fixer extension is a quick help to solve 404 errors appearing on some pages, such as categories, products, pages or images.
Just trying to differenciate what this add-on does as opposed to the bult-in 301 editor…
It detects a 404 when someone clicks on it.
Lists them conviently so that you can put in another link
It can work with images as well as product, page and categories
But it doesn't automatically fix links?
Can you import a text file from Google Merchant Services?
A few 404 issues I'm running into include that as page counts go down, then a category has “excess” pages that result in a 404 error. Is there a way to fix those? Same with currency 404 errors.
Also when I remove an item from a category I create a 404 for that particular iurl. Catonical refernces are supposed to not let this occur, but I haven found they are very inconsistent. It would be nice if this somehow created a 301 to fix these.

Yes but only when clicks, also when visitor is coming from external link (in this case I save also referrer) maybe you add a payed link on a blog

No, you will need to add a redirect to URL

Right now doesn’t support any type of support but can be added

Yes, you will need to add canonical or how [no-index, follow] to all category pages > 1
I hope I answer to all your questions
Keep on smiling,

I think your url fixer is a greeat idea and will greatly help.
But I am a bit disapointed to find that it doesn't work the same way as the built in 301 redirect dialogs do to select the new url via the backend search and select screens.
This forces are rather uncomfortable jouney to the front-end to find the new item, select and copy it's url and then return to the add-on screen to fix.
Can you not tie it into the exsisting search and select screens?
I am also using Vali's 404 extension. It is definitely a must have addon. You never know where you are losing your customers, they might be getting 404s. This extension allows you to capture 404s and put them to rest by adding 301 rules.
