Add to Cart Button Featured Products

Using version 2.1.1.

Can some one point to direct location in admin if possible. I have searched manual and forum and can’t find this, on my homepage I have the Featured Products and it’s showing Add to cart link, but I want to show a Button image is this possible turn on/off somewhere in admin or do I have to add code to tpl?
