Do you mean that big images (more than specified size) should not be uploaded and the warning should be shown, right?
Why wouldn't you just check if an image exceeded a max size and if it did, resize it down to the max size rather than making someone do it manually?

My comment was directed to Simtech for when they implement the change. Note, it should also be configurable by vendor. I.e. a fashion vendor might have 300x300 restriction while a photographer or artist might have 2048x2048
