How is this any different from the Site News built into CS-Cart?
If it's all about having blog categories, why are the categories not listed on the sidebar somewhere like on a normal blog. Usually there is an archive listing also, with posts separated into the months they were posted.
Is there a way to import Site News posts into this blog?

Our CS-Cart blog add-on has several features that are specific for blog. You can find the list of them at the first post.
