Was creating a new product in the store and clicked save. Everything seemed to be ok.
I am unable to view that product or even the category that it’s in now that has 40 items in it. I am getting the
“ Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
The only thing we have installed on our site is a theme. I’ve temporarily disabled that and still have the issue.
Currently running 4.17.2
Everything else on the site appears to be working except this one category. This is not a brand new store, and this has been running for years.
I’ve tried clearing the cash and optimizing the database, and still does not work.

Start from checking server error logs to find error details
Most likely, with this one product, you have uploaded a very large image and with your current server timeouts, the server cannot handle creating a thumbnail for this image because it is running out of memory.
You can check the images/detailed folder, find the folder with the maximum number in its name, and in that folder look for the most recent and largest image. If it’s the one you recently added with that product - try deleting it and see if that helps.
Crap, I was just about to give up and switch to another store t.ype. I attempted to look at the logs and that was making it worse as I could not understand what I was looking at. I looked at the images/detailed folder and looked at the larger files and found the ones that we just uploaded and removed them. The store is now working.
