State of CS-Cart?

14 September 2008 - 05:14 PM

Just wondering what is going at CS-Cart. It's been quite a while since an update, and wish the developers could provide a roadmap of upcoming features and issues they are working on. I won't mention any names, but there's an upcoming software that provides excellent visibility into those kinds of issues on a daily basis.

It sucks to be in the dark, and even though I have a license, not sure if I want to choose this as my platform due to these issues. I like many of the features of CS-Cart, but just venting a little, wishing the developers were a little more active on the forum as well.

Thoughts on failed orders receiving an order number?

21 January 2008 - 05:07 PM

Wondering what people think about customers receiving order numbers and emails for orders that fail during the final checkout step.

Does this confuse your customers at all into thinking the order was successful if they don't pay attention?

In my current cart (not CS-Cart), an order gets logged in the system, but the customer just goes back to the previous checkout step and has to reenter their credit card info. They don't receive any emails or order numbers until a successful one is placed.

I have discussed a mod with CS-Cart for $200, but still debating it.

Show all Pages and Topics on a single page

16 January 2008 - 09:35 PM

I'm probably just missing something, but how can I get all the topics and pages to show in the main body section of a single page? It only seems to do that once you click on a topic.

Smart Javascript Usage

15 January 2008 - 06:30 PM

To optimize page sizes, it would be great if:

a) Javascript (and CSS) files can be generated on a custom basis based only on the features being used by the site.

B) Load the javascript files as needed.
i.e. if form_scripts.js or exceptions.js is not needed until the product page, then do not load it on the home page.

Listmania Mass Apply

15 January 2008 - 04:06 PM

Currently it seems that for specific products and categories, listmania needs to be defined separately. It would be great if we can mass apply changes.

Apply a new article to every item within a category.
Apply a new related item to every item within a selection of items
