Anyone use email blasts to advertise, what else?

08 November 2007 - 06:30 PM

Has anyone used iContact or emailadcampaigns.com? I'm thinking about using an email blast advertising solution to bring start traffic to my new site. Anyone have any other suggestions and success stories? I've dabbled with yahoo search marketing but all i get is clicks and used up funds in my campaign. Does the SEO in cs-cart really work? I've filled in the Meta desc and meta keywords as well. Do you feel that doing so helped? I have only been live 3 days and have uploaded my google sitemap, uploaded to googlebase, and promoted on facebook. So yes I know it can take weeks to get real traffic(i have had 94 visits so far). But I just want to know if there is more I should do and what works?

How do you comment out the "Send via postal mail" when buying a gift certificate? I only want my customers to send a gift certificate by email.

Many thanks to developers and members who have helped me get things rolling...jobosales, pbannette, keith, jesseleestringer, smavtron, and others who I forgot to mention. I wish you all the luck in your cart experience as I still will do some tweaking along the way...

Mod for US format of Totals Summary

02 November 2007 - 06:56 AM

Had this in another forum section but figured this was a better place to put it....I am not sure if I am allowed to post this though I have seen similar posts. Cs-Cart has quoted me on a mod to format the totals summary to a more appropriate easy to read layout for US Customers.

It will be on the following pages:

-the checkout page in the storefront
-the "order info" page in the backend
-the "invoice" page in the back-end/storefront
-the "cart" page

1. The tax will not be included to the product prices and product subtotals field; taxes will only be displayed for each product separately(some items may or may not be taxed depending on your state).
2. The "Grand Total" will be the sum of the subtotal(without taxes), shipping, and the taxes in the backend.

Subtotal
Shipping
Taxes
------------
Grand Total

The mod will cost $116 and will take 2 days to complete.

The current format is confusing for US customers and I doubt CS-cart will ever change it to make it easier for certain countries.

If anyone else is interested we can bring the price down. Please reply or PM me. List for this mod closes Sunday evening, November 4
