How To Remove Quantity Options From Product Pages And Cart

30 July 2014 - 05:35 PM

Is there a simple way to remove the ability for customers to change the product quantity on product pages and their shopping cart? I'm surprised there isn't an on/off switch in CS-Cart to disable product quantity adjustments. Some products/stores simply do not need it.

I've played around with template files before in 3.0 and have gotten it to go away but now with 4.0, it's back.

The problem is that I sell custom printing materials like business cards. I have product options for people to order them in sets of 50, 100, 150, etc. They upgrade quantity by using that feature. Multiplying the price of the product, just makes the sales total grow out of whack! The majority of people do just ignore the option but some folks are clicking on it, thinking my prices are insane, and leaving my cart!!!

Is there a module available or a how-to guide on removing this?

Thanks.

Responsive Theme: Hide Certain Blocks On Mobile View

11 June 2014 - 05:04 PM

Would be great if you would hide certain blocks when viewing your website from a mobile device. I have a block that I use which popups up a chat and on a mobile device the chat bottom takes up 50% of the screen! :) I would love a way to disable chat all together on mobile devices and see this as a possibility by blocking the html block with the java script for the chat code.

A Way To Highlight Specific Product Options

24 May 2014 - 03:19 PM

On my order form, I have a particular question that I ask buyers, a particular product upgrade that is listed as a product option. I would love a way to make this question stand out among all the others. In other words, either a box around it or a different shade of color... something to make it pop.

This would be very good I think for people in need of product options that need to be front and center.

Smtp Emails Do Not Send

19 May 2014 - 03:08 PM

I have checked and rechecked my email settings in CSCart and I have the correct email address and password and mail server in there. The problem, I believe, is that my mail server uses port 465 and not 25 or 2525 for SMTP which are often defaults.

How is CS-Cart programmed? When you choose SMTP, is it setup as 25 or 2525 or 465? Or does it try all ports when sending email? Is there a file somewhere that I can go into and change the default port?

When I try to send an email from my contact page which is suppose to send to my customer support email or after orders are placed and my admin is support to get notifications and customers too, none of those go out. The thing is, when I do tests like sending a customer a copy of his invoice by clicking the drop down option on the order confirmation page or filling out the contact form, I don't get an error message like: failed to connect to SMTP.

It's like it's sending but the emails aren't arriving. Is this a port problem if there is no error message or likely a server problem? I can't find the emails anywhere, not even in trash or spam.

I'm running currently: CS-Cart 4.1.2

Thank you for any help you can provide. This is really bugging me.

Blocks Set To A Schedule

18 April 2014 - 02:49 PM

As a business, we have certain messages that we want to appear on a specific days. For instance, if it's a holiday and we're closed, we have a message at the top of our site that says "Sorry, we aren't open today". Come the following day, after the holiday, we have to log in and remove or hide that block.

I would love to have a feature where you can schedule a block. Like say, "this block appears every Friday" for our "Friday specials" or "this block appears on New Years Day, "about being closed for the holiday"
