In Topic: Store import from 3.0.6 to 4.0.2 fails help!

Was having this issue here, too. Trying to import from 2.2.4 to the newest version always failed.

Finally had success importing to 4.3.1 beta 2. Not sure if something got fixed in the code or not.

The only other two changes that possibly helped were: 1) updated PHP, and 2) updated MySQL. The newer versions are supposed to run faster, and it's possible that those upgrades helped things along.

Alt-team,

Thank you for your responses.

How can I request a refund?

Thank you for the new demo. It's good to see improvement.

All of the default controls and options are excellent for complex models and advanced users. However, will there be a way to selectively disable controls and options if they are not needed? We're concerned that the complexity of the system (even once the gui faults are corrected) is too high for most users, and exceeds what is necessary for several of our models.

Will it be possible to turn off specific controls for specific objects within a model? For example, can we create a text box that cannot be rotated or resized? Can we turn off the customer's ability to add new layers?

Also, will there be a way to define the default arrangement and visibility of the palettes? For example, can we hide the layers palette and move the cliparts palette to the right size of the window?

Along the same lines: can we hide the "advanced" tab on the text palette? Or can we turn off individual menus within that tab?

Lastly: I see that someone else requested multi-line text fields. Allow me to second that request.

We look forward to seeing the next demo.

To be fair I think you need to search the forum for "product designer" and they'll show up rather than list them in this thread.
Just seems wrong.
Either that or start a new topic called "What is the best product designer for cs cart?"

Agreed. But after searching for alternatives, the only one I could find has suffered similar delays and doesn't even have a demo yet.

My first thought was that John was just angry and wanting to vent, but at the same time, if there are viable alternatives, it would be great to know about them. We've sunk $800 into this project with nothing to show for it; we're committed to waiting for the mature release, but after seeing the demo, we're starting to wonder if we've made the right choice.

in response to perhaps the other product designers being posted here.

there are dozens of these online on "test servers".

Hi John,

We're interested in finding alternatives to this add-on: can you please list a few of the ones you've found?
