Hello!

I've been hunting high and low for info on setting up wholesale pricing and can't seem to find the answers I need. Hopefully some kind soul can help me out with these questions. I've setup CSC for a manufacturer that is selling online to individual customers, and also sells bulk wholesale to licensed toy stores. Anyone viewing the site will see the full retail list price for items, but wholesale members should be able to login and view the products with special pricing.

1. I've got the Wholesale mod on and membership customer category setup for "Wholesale". When I got to enter prices under the Wholesale Price tab there is a price entry already setup for "All" which I can't delete. Even if I apply a second price amount just for Wholesale members it still shows the original "All" price. How do I get around this?

***I know that I can create a category assigned just to Wholesale but we need to give both individuals and wholesalers access to the entire product catalog.


2. Wholesale member orders should NOT have sales tax charges but the cart auto adds tax to either retail or wholesale customers right now. I've looked multiple times in different tax/shipping/product/member settings but do not see an option to assign this to only individuals.

3. Is it possible to set multiple types of discounts? I tried setting up one global discount and one product discount, but the cart only calculates the global and nothing else.

It's exciting to announce my first CS Cart project is up and running... Woodkins Wooden Toys


This was a client project with an existing design that I had to integrate into CSC. There are several things I'm still fine-tuning, such as optimizing content, images, and load times. The site owner is a toy manufacturer so we had some constraints that I had to work within, since only some of their products will be available for sale directly.

Here are some of the mods I setup thanks to all the great info and support here on the boards.

1. Unique Home Page Template
2. Home Page Catalog/Categories
3. Categories with Subcat Images

I started out by using the Brickwork Yellow/Green skin as the colors came close to the original design, then hacked the image settings, CSS formatting and main.tpl layout. I'm still working on converting templates to CSS...which is quite a task considering all of the nested tables! We also have a Flash game and PHP store locator that will be available which I'm still working on. I will probably use popup boxes on the info pages for these.

I've been digging into CSC and have been able to integrate it fairly well into an existing design. I need to create a unique home page template tho and I haven't been able to get that working correctly. I'm assuming all pages use the index.tpl as a base, but can I set it so it only shows the welcome.tpl when a visitor is on the home page?

I know I can always install csc in a subfolder and create my own index, but I'd like to have the home page list my main nav-menu and the categories managed through csc.

Any php/smarty advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

I'm new to CScart and really impressed with all the features packed in.

One thing I'd love to see is an RSS feeds module. I specialize in online viral marketing and SEO...feeds can make a huge impact in turning a customer base into an actual community, not to mention that search engines love them.

Ideally RSS could be enabled as on/off for individual categories. It could also be used to publish newsletter archives.
