#120594 Admin Products - The Way It Should Look

Posted by The Tool on 29 August 2011 - 11:04 PM

I just recently upgraded to 2.2.2 from 2.1.4 and here is one of my first redesigns in the backend for products. This is a full screen shot on a 23" monitor. If you want the code, let me know and I will post it but note that it will just be the insertion code (no add-on, my_changes using hooks crap).

Edit: I just realized that "My price" is included. This example was actually to show the separation of the "Code" from the "Name". I'm not done on adding "My price" as you can see.

#118815 TinyMCE

The only downside is the plugins/icons need to be arranged a bit more logically but, nice work!

I think I set them up pretty much like the default editor.?

Since a few have been complaining about the TinyMCE editor, I thought I would go ahead and put together the latest version of the editor with all of the functions that it has to offer (except for save file and new document). This is for CSC 2.2.1. I have only briefly tested it so post if you find any issues.

Make sure you have a backup and/or rename the following:

Upload the attached file to the root of your installation and extract.

#115214 Calendar Management for Travel/Rental Industry

Very funny statement. Sale for your add-on not good doesn't mean that everyone want Free!
You must be more educated. I believe such add-on is uncommon and they aware about that.

On the contrary. Siu Ling, you are new to the forum and if you would read through the past threads and/or continue to read on a daily basis, you will see that most of the CS Cart users are looking for a "hand out". I am one of the ones who use to post all kinds of hints and suggestions but became weary of the ungratefulness (not everyone). This was when there were no "third party services" like there is now and especially with the exclusion of CS support staff in the forums like there is now.

#110432 Quickbooks

Posted by The Tool on 19 April 2011 - 08:00 AM

As far as I know, the problem(s) is not the actual creation of the file but when you import the created file into Quickbooks, then multiple errors occur and not all the information is imported. I imagine the problem is the format of the created file?

#99658 XML Data Feed(Importing supplier's xml)

Posted by The Tool on 05 January 2011 - 03:47 PM

Tool: Can I ask several questions;

1.How can you convert these csv's to xml? with the help of Excel?
2.Are you using CS-Cart CSV import tool or just done via database?
3.How you filter/understand new products and changed/updated prices?Isn't it difficult to scan all products to understand if they are new or their prices are updated or not?
4.How you're applying some margin to the suppliers' costs?You mentioned about the formula to apply some profit,can you share with us about how you did it?

1. I do not convert to xml...it stays as a csv file. Yes, I use Excel to edit the csv file obtained from the supplier.
2. Yes, I use the CSC import/export.
3. This is handled differently between my 2 suppliers because data is different. One of my suppliers offers 2 files: 1 is changes and the other is the complete current products available. My other supplier only offers 1 file but it includes a field "Modified Date" which tells me when a product has been changed.
4. I create another field "Price" in the csv and add a formula for example B2*.4+B2 (B2 being the suppliers cost) then drag the formula down the list of products.

#97777 Product Sorting v2.x

Posted by The Tool on 11 December 2010 - 04:32 PM

Tool: could you share the code you added to make "Bestsellers" appear in the sortings?

That is/was actually standard. I am assuming they have removed it?

Once CSC gets their shit straight (to my standards) with 2.1.x, I will then upgrade and be more familiar with the code and once again be of help to the forum. :P

#65395 Minimum Price (Subtotal) To Checkout

Posted by The Tool on 28 December 2009 - 01:01 PM

This is a repost for version 2.x.

The problem is that the minimum order amount is set to allow checkout for the entire order (subtotal, shipping, tax) instead of just the subtotal. This is what and where the changes need to be made to allow checkout with the minimum of the subtotal. The code can be found at the very end of the file and you just simply need to change "total" to "subtotal" in the following:

// Checks if order can be placed
function fn_allow_place_order(&$cart)
	$subtotal = $cart['subtotal'];

	fn_set_hook('allow_place_order', $total, $cart);

	$cart['amount_failed'] = (Registry::get('settings.General.min_order_amount') > $subtotal && floatval($subtotal));

	if (!empty($cart['amount_failed']) || !empty($cart['shipping_failed'])) {
 return false;

	return true;
