It's something with my skin... I just tried using a default skin and it is working okay. Guess I'll have to rebuild my skin from scratch too...

So much for an "upgrade"...

Disabled taxes on an item and now I get

<div class="mainbox-wrapper">
<h1 class="mainbox-title">Saluki Football - All In 2008</h1>
<div class="mainbox-body">

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript 1.2" src="/classes/scripts/exceptions.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript 1.2">

function fn_add_to_cart(product_id, ajax_add_to_cart)
product_form.set_field_value(target_name, 'checkout');
product_form.result_id = 'cart_status';

The code in red is the offending code.

I now have AJAX checkout turned off, but still see it says ajax_add_to_cart in the code.

Could this be some sort of permissions error? I am hosting at SiteGround and had a time getting the initial permissions right to even get the site to display correctly.

I'm getting very frustrated with CS-Cart and Siteground.

Can I leave db in tack for a fresh install of latest version? If not, will I be able to restore db from the version I am on now once I have a fresh install?

I really do not want to have to start from complete scratch.

$1500 between us is fair. The $2k spread to $3500 is scary though.

Mikael Harbo @ harboarts.com had told me previously that he would be interested in integrating his designer into CS. He charges 50 EUR and hour for development and his designer "as-is' is $1250 US or somewhere around that.

Might be at least worth an email to him to see what he thinks. That is, if his product as it is is even what everyone else is looking for.

If CS team can keep it towards the lower end of the quote, we'd probably have a product more in line with what we really want than taking something already done and try modifying it. I'm not a programmer, so my opinion might not be valid...
