I compared my email settings page to the same page in another store of mine and saw a box that needed to be checked.
That seems to have fixed the problem.
How the box got unchecked - I have no idea...

SMTP Error message
I just now had an error message inside my admin zone when on a new order invoice page - when I checked the box to save a change and send an email to my admin email address (my personal gmail address)
The email failed, but my gmail account works and a PayPal email confirming an order payment from CS cart was sent to my admin email .
Only the invoice for the newest order was not emailed. (The order came after the problem)
Note no recent work done on my store at all and no other known problems my dedicated server is fine local ISP fine etc.
Any ideas?

Poor Service from Ecomm - need help
I paid Ecomm to upgrade my store and the upgrade is mostly OK but when I started to check the details I found some problems which needed to be fixed.
They said the problems were fixed and more than once I told them that they were not and sent screen shots to prove it.
We started going in a circle so I asked the assigned developer to contact his manager who I assume is more experienced -and the developer simply ignored my request - this is a big problem.
I am easy going when things need to be fixed and the developer politely works with me. As I have been with CS cart since version one and have seen great developers and not so great ones - but the key point is politeness and the willingness to communicate...
My request for help today is does anyone know the name and email address of the owner of Ecomm?
I have a feeling that when he hears about this situation he will want to quickly help. I am trying to finish before Christmas...

If your site is very small many hosts are ok just read online reviews if your site is large you need a host taht will be expensive and a dedicated server

From version one I have used CS cart and in the old days there were shall we politely say growing pains and challenges with service and bugs...
Now I find that the support service has improved and is faster, less bugs and more features.
Currently I need a new website and I have been considering Woocommerce and Magento - community.
Magento has lots of features and more worldwide support but is not user friendly...
Woocommerce is supposed to be user friendly but needs external plugins for many basic features - example:
To have invoice numbers in order you need a plugin.
To have multiple shipping methods with different prices you need a plugin.
In the end Woocommerce is not free for me.
CS Cart still needs to be more user friendly and a few more features such as Stripe by default as a payment gateway and easy drag and drop type design and email features.
But I will use CS Cart for my new project, and I am happy to use CS cart.

ensured 465 port is whitelisted now in every csf option this was my solution today - hope it helps

I have also upgraded to 4.7.2 SP2 and so far I don't see any big problems. Only small ones like some modifications have to be redone.
Overall CS Cart has much improved over the years. (started with version one in the beginning.)
I am currently happy that I choose to partner my business with CS cart.
I look forward to new versions.

My advise would be to leave the core statuses alone (and back to V2, core statuses were protected and couldn't be removed).
