In Topic: No Shipping Location

I ran into this issue yet again after enabling suppliers (which I need). It is necessary to add a separate shipping method for EVERY SUPPLIER. Note that when you enable suppliers option, there will be a drop-down list of all the suppliers you add to the system when you edit a shipping method. Create a separate shipping method and be sure that you have at least one method setup for each supplier.

Good luck!

In Topic: How to install Languages

I've found that for v2.0.12, it is necessary to add the new language to your localization settings as follows:

1. Go to Shipping/Taxes > Localizations
2. Edit your active localization(s)
3. Click "Items" tab
4. Scroll to bottom and add the new language

Good luck!

In Topic: Pagination on Category Page

None of those examples were working for me in v2.0.12. However, they did lead me to a solution.

Edit the template customers/common_templates/pagination.tpl. Add the following code after the "{$lang.navi_pages}:" line:

{capture name="CurrPage"}{$pagination.current_page}{/capture}
{if $pagination.current_page == 1}
    <span class="disabled">{$lang.previous}</span>
    <a href="{$index_script}?{$qstring}&page={$smarty.capture.CurrPage-1}" {$onclick} class="pagination-link">{$lang.previous}</a>

Then add the following after the block that starts with "{if $pagination.next_range}":

{if $pagination.current_page == $pagination.total_pages}
    <span class="disabled">{$lang.next}</span>
    <a href="{$index_script}?{$qstring}&page={$smarty.capture.CurrPage+1}" {$onclick} class="pagination-link">{$lang.next}</a>

Finally add the following to your styles.css to grey out the text when on first & last page:

.disabled {

EDIT #1: It turns out that you don't have to disable the Ajax presentation. During testing, I had put the code outside of the pagination div which prevented my url's from being correctly re-written for Ajax. Also put the name of the template file to edit.

EDIT #2: OK, spoke to soon about supporting Ajax. The link still work with Ajax enabled but they will cause a page refresh to occur. The page number links still behave correctly.

In Topic: Won't login or reset password

Check your Apache error log to see if there are any errors that you need to address. I've seen similar behavior which was due to an incorrectly installed skin. You could try re-running the install process to re-apply the skin.

Also, I've noticed a problem on Rackspace servers running Red Hat 5 and Apache v2.2.3. The admin login will freeze when you attempt to login. You can request a password reset which will let you back in but the next time you logout and try to login, the system will freeze. It seems to have something to do with the POST process. I took the same store and installed to a CentOS server running Apache v1.3.41 (same PHP v5.2.11) and the store worked fine.

If you go into languages and search for Welcome, just remove it. Worked for me.

Wow! That's a super non-trivial place to look for text that's on the homepage of my site. This is a templating bug in my estimation. New users are not going to know where to look to find that text.
