One Installation - One Price

07 March 2019 - 08:17 AM

I wanted always to know, but never asked: -

Why do you guys charge multiple price for one installation? It doesn't matter how many storefronts or interfaces there are, provided I install the script only once, in one single doc-root, the price should be for one installation... Two installations - double the price. Three installations - triple the price and give some discount, etc. This is the legit marketing logic...

I understand the higher price, if the product was different, like the regular CS-Cart and Ultimate - but it is one and the same for most addons.

Product Package Weight And Price

02 February 2019 - 08:55 AM

Where to add it? Or we should enter the product weight packaged?

Also, what is the use of the Freight entry, if there is separate shipping cost?

How do you calculate the price of the packaging itself. If the Product costs $5 and the package another $1, this is 20% discount if we do not include the price of the package.

There is also handling cost, always - it takes time, gas and nerves.

Multiple Storefronts In Multi-Vendor

29 January 2019 - 08:29 AM

The price of MVE+ is really not reasonable! most of its features can be found in cheap addons or developed in-house ... it does not even include the Multi-Storefronts option which is a default feature in Magento CE (the Free edition) ..

Can this really be done? Not only to have separate stores for separate vendors, but also separate storefronts like in the Ultimate Edition, with multiple vendors in them? Essentially, this is Multi-Vendor for Multiple Niches, or let's call it Multi-Vertical Marketplace.

So far we have only the Subdomain Addon of Webkul wich assigns a separate subdomain for the store page of the paying vendors, but does not stay on that subdomain when you browse the products of the chosen vendor.

Tags In Different Languages

28 January 2019 - 07:41 AM

Have you noticed that product and page tags in CS-Cart have only one language versions? You can change the language of your product or page, but you should use one and the same tags for all your language versions.

How and when is this issue going to be resolved?

Robots.txt For Multiple Domains In One Mv Installation

27 January 2019 - 12:30 PM

Here is the story

We can have multiple robots.txt from DB for Multi-Srorefronts ONLY edition of CS-Cart. Not for Multi-Vendor Editions. Our store is MV Plus. Technically we can have only ONE storefront.

BUT, there are addons allowing the vendors to have their own frontend on different subdomains. Crippled addons, because they only add a subdomain in the cPanel and redirect it to the vendor store in the MVE - mod_rewritten or not. When you click on a product, you are transported back to the MVE.

We have developed a method to generate different frontends for the different languages, and as long as you don't change the language, you stay on one domain.

Here comes the problem - the language specific domains are essentially parked domains and share one root with the main domain.
In order to do what you suggest, CS-Cart have to develop a Multi-Vendor Multi-Store Multi-Frontends Edition...

Judging by the multiplication price logic of CS-Cart, this edition will cost probably $10,000.

My solution costed me $100.

What remains to be done is creating virtual robots.txt for each domain. When I manually create a robot.txt and put it in the root, it will be valid for all domains, because there is no way to give contradictory instructions or domain specific instructions, say, e.g.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /*sl=en$
Disallow: /sachgebiet/
Disallow: /предмет/

User-agent: *
Disallow: /*sl=ru$
Disallow: /subject/
Disallow: /sachgebiet/
Host https://www.mysite.ru/

Or this is possible?

Solution to the problem:

Add this line to htaccess in mod_rewrite section

RewriteRule ^robots.txt$ robots.php

Compose robots.php according to your needs, so that one language must exclude indexing of pages from the other languages

    ';
  }
?>

Create a language specific Google map by hiding the other languages, download it, change the .tld and upload accordingly as sitemap-de and sitepap-ru to the root of your main site.

That's it. You have now three separate robots.txt in one docroot:
   mysite.com/robots.txt
   mysite.de/robots.txt
   mysite.ru/robots.txt

PS. The default CSC robots.txt will be ignored, no matter what you put in there.

Open to suggestions how to make the disallows more relevant.
