Canonical Not Working

22 December 2018 - 07:21 AM

Hello All,

We recently switched from HTTP -> HTTPS and noticed something rather strange...the canonical settings that were originally part of the software are no longer working as before. Prior to the switch, everything was working great and our pages and product pages we performing really well in SERPS but since the migration things have gone south. Our store has taken a hit in SERPS and NOT performing as well.

We are currently running Cs Cart ver 4.2.4

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated!

Disable Pagination Under Product Categories

How can I disable pagination in product categories and instead display all products per category with NO pagination?

Service Unavailable

10 July 2018 - 04:01 PM

Hello All -

There's an issue am having with my website and this happens VERY sporadically. I noticed that whenever I try to save a particular page, I get an error message "Service Unavailable. Sorry, service is temporarily unavailable." (see attached) However this only happens when I try to save certain pages in my cs cart admin panel. I read somewhere that I need to increase upload_max_filesize, I tried increasing that from 128M to 512M and then to 1000M and that did not fix the problem. Issue still persists.

Again this issue only comes up when hit "save" after working on a page. I'm using Cs Cart ver. 4.2.2

Please any help and/guidance on this will be greatly appreciated!

I'm using CS Cart Version 4.2.2

I do not have ANY kind of canonicalization add on installed, but yet some product pages and category pages are randomly generating rel="canonical" tags when I check the page source code.

This is creating a problem for search engines in SERPS. When I check keywords in Google for instance, its randomly ranking and switching between two pages with the same variation of the keyword. I want only ONE page to rank for a specific keyword and NOT multiple pages. The page that's supposed to rank has been crawled and indexed by Google and yet it's NOT showing in SERPS on a consistent basis.

I need help with this because it's rather puzzling to me how some pages are randomly getting rel="canonical" tags while others aren't, and how that's possible without a "canonicalization" addon installed and is there a way to control this?
