In Topic: How to remove dynamic (?dispatch=) pages from google index

Thanks for the reply -- it's been a while since I activated the addon, around 2 months.

I started including the Disallow command in the robots.txt file about 2 weeks ago -- should I keep that there or remove it?

In Topic: Images not in the 'images' directory

15 August 2013 - 03:52 PM

Thanks for the reply.

I am doing the second thing. I created a custom folder, uploaded the files to there, and told the products to look in the custom folder for the images.

So I guess that this is not a problem, since the 'thumbnails' and 'detailed' versions of the images are still being created and placed in the 'images' directory.

So it seems to me that it doesn't matter at all where on the server filesystem I place my images, as long as I select the correct path and image when I create a product; cs-cart then seems to take care of the creation of 'thumbnail' and 'detailed' images. Would you say that this interpretation is correct?

Hi cscartrocks, the site has been online since early June. How long does one typically need to get a foothold in the rankings?

Thanks StellarBytes. I wonder if you could clarify a bit what you mean by "onsite SEO issues".

Google Webmaster Tools is showing 'No new messages or recent critical issues' for littleredgolfshop.com. It is odd, to me at least, that google is not returning the site when one searches for Little Red Golf Shop explicitly. If I search for particular products then I am getting results from my site.

Could you suggest a SEO service which might serve be better than the free one that I used? Also in what way does it do more harm than good?

Thanks a lot for your help.
