#184909 4.1.5 Store Closed Problem In Order Complate

Posted by mink on 03 June 2014 - 06:50 AM

hi Subpower,

In CS-Cart 4.x if any error occurs, the "Store closed" page is shown by default.
However, you can try to add the following code line (any place after the first "php" tag) in the "config.php" file in the root directory of your CS-Cart installation:
define("DEVELOPMENT", true);

After this you should see the real error text/code.
NOTE: After the issue resolution It is recommended to delete the above-mentioned code line.

Hope it helps.

Best regards, Sergei

#182395 How To Change Product Notification Popup Window Size

Posted by mink on 26 April 2014 - 08:59 AM

hi yong2014,

If you use CS-Cart 4.x, the "Add to cart" pop-up width is defined by the "notification-content-extended" CSS-class and you should also note that this CSS class might be used for other pop-ups.

I hope it helps.

Best regards, Sergei

#182311 Admin Only Categories?

Posted by mink on 25 April 2014 - 05:08 AM

hi janskor,

Can anyone suggest a way of the site's admin presenting a selection of vendors products? Clearly it can't be done via categories…

You can try to use the following trick:

1. Create a static page per every collection - http://demo.cs-cart....ree=multi_level
2. In the block manager create product block of the "Manually" filling type on the "Pages" tab - http://demo.cs-cart....cted_location=4
NOTE: In order that this block is not displayed for non-collection pages, you should not specify any product on this step.
3. Open the "Blocks" tab of editing page for static page (collection page), e.g. http://demo.cs-cart...._section=blocks
On this tab you will see your products block (set on step #2) and will be able to assign any products to it.

This solution has one disadvantage - absence of pagination

I hope this trick helps.

Best regards, Sergei

#180847 Extremly Slow Sql Query When 120 000 Products

Posted by mink on 03 April 2014 - 08:47 AM

So cs-cart (Simtech Development) is stating that there is no DB conflict in using mysql as the backend cache on large sites?

Actually, by default all installations of CS-Cart uses the "file" backend cache.

As for the "mysql" backend cache type, it hardly works fine in case the site database is big because if main product queries take time, the "mysql" backend cache will only slow them down.

In addition, CS-Cart software supports the "redis" cache type and it should be faster even than the "file" one. For this type of cache it is necessary to install Redis on the server where CS-Cart installed.

Hi Zahhar,

The issue can be hardly fixed by MySQL tuning or optimization, however it is possible to integrate your store with advanced cache or/and search systems.
For example, you may go ahead with the default "Searchanise" module which may the product queries much lighter or integrate your store with search engines like Elastica or Sphinx.

If you need more additional information on it, please do not hesitate to contact us on http://www.simtechdev.com/

#146746 Quickbooks issues

Posted by mink on 10 October 2012 - 06:06 AM

Dear users,

Thank you for the comments.

You see, it is impossible to fix the issue described above by modifying the export file format. The fields will be overwritten anyway.

Integrating Quickbooks API for inventory and order update must solve the problem (similar to the Webgility solution), but at the moment this integration is not planned due to its high cost.

So we suggest you use specially designed solutions like the one made by our partner — http://www.webgility.com/

Their "eCC Cloud" solution can integrate your CS-Cart store with Quickbooks and allow you to exchange data quite conveniently.

Thank you.
